The plaster of Felicity, Carrick's diploma work of 1936 which was exhibited as far afield as Argentina.  One 'reduced copy' of the work was purchased by North Edinburgh Unionist Association and presented to Sir Patrick and Lady Ford on their retirement in 1936.

The group has an upwardly spiraling composition with each figure connected to one another by their gaze, reminiscent of Giambologna's Rape of the Sabines.
