JOHN RENNIE MEMORIAL

The memorial to Engineer John Rennie, featuring a bronze relief portrait by Carrick, at his birthplace in East Linton, East Lothian, near Edinburgh (he was born at Phantassie Farm opposite the memorial).  The engineer's most famous work was Waterloo Bridge in London and I believe some of the stone work from the bridge was salvaged from its demolition and used for the memorial.
