KELSO ABBEY

According to Carrick's business papers he was involved in the creation of the memorial cloister to the 8th Duke of Roxburgh which was built onto the ruins of Kelso Abbey.

There is no precise information on his involvement but he was presumably responisble for all of the decorative carving including the Coat of Arms (left) and the highly stylized animal carvings in the corbels and capitals around the cloister (above).
